Arthur's hot form helps Britain gain record representation at World Championships
By capturing this season’s World Under-21 Championship and taking a silver medal in slalom at the European Championships, Scotland’s Nicole Arthur has helped GB earn a massive representation at next year’s World Championships.
Nicole, from Slamannan near Falkirk, won the World Slalom title last year – and will be defending in Calgary, Canada, in August next year.
In addition to Nicole, Jodi Fisher (2008 World Cup Champion), Will Asher (No.1 in International Water Ski Federation’s elite and performance rankings) and Sarah Green (who pipped Nicole for the European title) have pre-qualified for Calgary.
It is the first time that Great Britain has had four skiers straight into the finals of a senior world championship.
