

Neal Rayner named as Water Polo Development Officer
Neal Rayner has been named as Scotland’s new Water Polo Development Officer, and he will take up the apooinemtn at the start of next month.
Rayner has a wealth of experience including:
• USA Water polo qualified coach and referee
• Assistant Coach to Scottish Women's Water Polo Squad
• Co-Coach to Scottish Universities’ National Squad
(men)
• Head Coach to University of Edinburgh Water Polo Team
• Two-time All American Water Polo player for Tamalpais High School, California
Rayner will work closely with the Scottish Swimming Coaching and Development Team, Scottish Water Polo Committee (SWPC), clubs and local authorities to assist and support the implementation of the Water Polo development plan. This will include the following areas:
• The Kellogg's Swim Active water polo project
• Coach education
• Volunteer training
• Technical officials training
• Club development
"I am delighted to be appointing Neal as our Water Polo Development Officer,” said Richard Gordon, Scottish Swimming's Director of Coaching and Development. "He has extensive water polo experience and knowledge of Scottish Water Polo so will be very well placed to make an immediate impact in this new post.”
