Campbell cleaning up on US College circuit
Scotland's top player Ali Campbell has returned to Lindenwood University in Missouri in America and has made an impressive start to the new US college season.
The teenage Campbell scored 16 goals to lead the Lindenwood Lions to victories over St. Louis University (17-6), Washington University (16-3), Lindenwood University "B" (24-2) and University of Missouri (15-4) to earn the Missouri Valley Division Player of the Week award.
Against Lindenwood "B", Campbell netted seven goals to power the Lions "A" team to victory.
He followed up the performance with five goals against Missouri, a goal and strong defense against St. Louis and a hat-trick versus Washington.
The four victories put Lindenwood into a share of first place in the Missouri Valley Division.
