Troon bow out
Troon suffer heavy defeat at hands of Spanish university
Troon PA bowed out of the European Challenge Cup after another volleyball lesson from Universidad de Burgos at the Citadel in Ayr.
The Scottish Cup holders - who lost heavily in the first leg in Spain - suffered again, losing 9-25 7-25 6-25.
The Spanish side's Brazilian pair SorayaDos Santos and Katia de Oliveira Rodrigues were in dominant form as the match was over in 58 minutes.
Troon now concentrate on domestic duties where they are unbeaten in Scotland.
This weekend, they face champions Su Ragazzi in the match of the day in the Schelde Sports Scottish League.
