Edinburgh's Robin Miedzybrodzki and Englsih partner Gregg Weaver struggled to make an impact on the Champions' Cup in Tenerife.

Invited to represent Great Britain against some of the best teams in Europe, the new pairing failed to win a match.

After losing their opener to Spanish pair Pablo Herrera and Adrian Gavira 12-21 15-21, the GB pair went down 11-21 13-21 to Holland's Reinder Nummerdor and Richard Schuil.

Miedzybrodzki and Weaver almost took a set off Russians Alexander Likholetov and Pavel Karpukhin before losing 19-21 15-21.
