Title-chasing City of Edinburgh have landed a major signing coup as the season reaches a critical stage.

Great Britain cap Jonny Herley has signed until the end of the season.

Herley played full-time with the GB squad when they played as Club Martinus in Holland last season.

But limited court time meant he could not secure another professional contract this season.

He was a free agent and was thus able to sign for Edinburgh immediately.

He played in the top-of-the-table clash with Kilmarnock at the weekend but City lost 3-2, losing the final set 17-15.
