Sad start to Faroes event

Death overshadows European Championships
Scotland open their European Championship Small Countries campaign in the Faroes this weekend against a Luxembourg side in mourning after the loss of their brightest prospect.
Denitza Krivova, one of the outstanding players in last year's finals in Glasgow, was killed in a car accident at the end of last month.
Just 18, she was set for a big career in the sport having already signed for French Pro A League side Terville.
“It’s cast a shadow over the whole tournament,” said Scotland coach John French.
Scotland also face Ireland, Liechtenstein and the Faroes this weekend as they seek to qualify for the finals.
