Mullin's French test

Shauna Mullin loses out at FIVB World Beach Series in Marseille
Edinburgh's Shauna Mullin and English partner Zara Dampney narrowly lost out 21-18 12-21 15-17 to Poland's Karolina Sowala and Monica Brzostek in the first round of the FIVB World Beach Series in Marseille, France.
The British pair had qualified with a comfortable 21-12 21-19 win over French pair Celine Gemise-Fareau and Justine Astruc.
By reaching another main draw, Mullin and Dampney underlined the progress they have made in the last year.
But they still have a battle on their hands to make the 2012 Olympics in London.
