

Shauna Mullin finishes in top 20 at World Beach Volleyball event in Shanghai
Edinburgh's Shauna Mullin and English partner Zara Dampney finished 17th in the latest FIVB World Beach Volleyball tour event in Shanghai, China.
Seeded 21 after impressing in Brasilia last week, the Great Britain pair continued to hold their own against some of the best pairings in the world.
After losing to Czech number 12 seeds Hana Klapolova and Tereza Petrova 19-21 16-21, Mullin and Dampney went on to defeat Canadians Katherine Zakrewski and Elizabeth Maloney, scarping through 17-21 21-17 16-14.
It put them into a play-off with Latvians Inguna Minusa and Inese Jursone, seeded 12th, which the British pair lost 18-21 21-16 9-15.
In the men's competition, former City of Edinburgh player Robin Miedzybrodzki and new English partner Tom Lord went out in qualifying, losing 10-21 16-21 to Venezuelans Leon and Fernando Ramos.
