GB claim double win

Double victory for GB in European League
Great Britain men's team scaled new heights as they beat Portugal 3-1 and Greece 3-2 in the European League at the EIS in Sheffield.
Scots Mark MCGivern, Paul Glissov, Andy Benson and Jonny Herley all saw court time as the GB team won thier first two matches in the league.
The team also stretched Slovakia in their other match before losing 3-0 but not before saving three match points in the final set which went to 31-29.
Coach Harry Brokking is delighted at the progress of his side and another Scot, Chris Lamont, comes into the squad for this weekend's fourth round of the league in Rotterdam.
"We are still learning at this level but this weekend showed that we have made a lot of progress and it is a bonus for me that, in the match against Greece, it was the players on the fringe who played their part," Brokking said.
