Edinburgh win inter-city battle

Edinburgh defeat Glasgow rivals in league play-offs
City of Edinburgh gained a psychological advantage ahead of this month's Scottish Cup final by beating City of Glasgow Ragazzi in the league play-offs.
In a five-set marathon, the capital side eventually came through 21-25 25-19 25-19 31-33 15-13 to clinch third place in the men's first division.
But there was little to choose between the teams which suggests the cup final meeting between the two on April 19 could be a classic.
"The recent matches between the two teams have been excellent and I don't think either team has been holding anything back ahead of the cup final," said Ragazzi coach Tommy Dowens.
