Edinburgh's Eight

Eight players from City of Edinburgh have been included in Scotland's 19-strong squad to prepare for next year's European Junior Championships in Cyprus.

The capital club have built up the strongest youth set-up in Scotland with over 100 junior members.

It is the first time Scotland has entered a team at this level and there will be warm-up matches in Glasgow in December before the final cut.
 
Scotland junior squad: Michael Cockburn, Stuart Parker, Jamie McHardy, Ben Hunter, Craig Skicko, Sean McCashey, Glen Robison, Liam Darling (all City of Edinburgh); Grant Young, Euan Duncan, Mark Lawson, Stuart Caldwell (all Kilmarnock); Liam Fleming, Kevin Lawrie, Robert Micallef-Eynauld (all South Ayrshire); Steven Cruse (Troon PA); Andrew McGregor (Su Ragazzi); Seain Cook (Bath Univ); Fraser Brown (Leeds Carnegie).
