Dowens bows out

Long-serving scottish coach steps down
Tommy Dowens has quit as coach to the Scotland men's team after 17 years in charge.
Thought to be the longest-serving coach to any Scotland sporting team, he has decided to concentrate on club matters with Su Ragazzi.
The coach revealed had been thinking about his position over recent months and decided that it was time to let someone else take the reins.
"There is a good crop of players to work with and a mixture of youth and experience," said Dowens, "I've not lost any enthusiasm for the sport and I will be putting all my energies into the club game."
Dowens had taken the national team to new levels and the fact there are currently six Scots in the full-time Great Britain squad is a testament to his talents.
