Great Britain men recorded a notable double victory over Croatia in the European League at Meadowbank to enhance their growing reputation.

Coach Harry Brokking used all three of the Scots in his squad - Mark McGivern, Chris Lamont and Andy Benson - and all played their part in the 3-0 and 3-1 wins.

Benson, in his first start, was particularly impressive in Sunday's 3-1 victory.

The GB women are still searching for their first win in the Euorpean League after losing twice to Romania, also at Meadowbank.

Audrey Cooper's side impressed in Saturday's narrow 3-1 defeat in which Scottish captain Lynne Beattie starred but her team made too many errors in the second match and went down tamely 3-0.
