Collins named Player of the Year
Dundee's Niall Collin has been named Final Whistle Media Scottish Men's Player of the Year for the 2007-08 season.

Collin took the award for the first time ahead of Glasgow Mets' setter Alan Krawczyk after a vote by players and coaches and Julien Corsini (Rucanor Jets) was third.

Dundee enjoyed their best season for a few years, finishing third in the men's first division but missing out on silverware.

Mel Coutts (Team Edinburgh) won the women's award after taking her side to the brink of honours as player-coach in spite of the fact that the club had lost several key players last summer.

The capital side managed to turn their season around after looking like relegation candidates and Coutts helped take the team to the play-offs.

Su Ragazzi's Lynne Beattie finished runner-up with Elaine Krawczyk (Troon PA) finishing third.
