Jamie Baker upset the odds to reach the second round of the $50,000 Challenger in Champaign, Illinois.

Baker, unseeded, knocked out the number eight seed Robert Kendrick from America 3-6 6-4 6-2.

The Scottish number two now meets another American, Ryan Sweeting, for a place in the last eight.

Top seed Kevin Kim and Taylor Dent, who beat Baker in Knoxville last week, also came through their first round matches.
