Super-sharp Andy Murray makes short work of Ferrero to make Wimbledon semis
ANDY Murray cruised into a Wimbledon semi-final clash with America's Andy Roddick after a straight-forward victory over Juan Carlos Ferrero.
The 22-year-old Scot eased to a 7-5, 6-3, 6-2 win over the former French Open champion to become the first Brit to reach a semi-final at the All England Club since Tim Henman in 2002.
Murray rarely looked troubled against wildcard Ferrero and wrapped up the win in less than two hours.
"I felt good," said Murray, who came through an epic five-setter with Stanislas Wawrinka on Monday.
"I didn't feel tired after the last match and even though I made a few mistakes in the first set, I was really pleased with how the match went.
"I'd hope I'd got an extra gear if I needed one, we'll have to wait and see."
