Fleming progresses while Baker drops out of the AEGON International
Colin Fleming set up a clash with top seed Richard Bloomfield at the AEGON International in Sheffield.
The Scottish number three came through his first round match against Berkshire teenager Marcus Willis 7-6 7-6.
Jamie Baker lost his opening tie against Frenchman Frederic Jeanclaude after three touch sets.
Jeanclaude, the number eight seed, went through 6-4 6-7 6-3.
Prestwick's Nicola Slater lost in the first round of qualifying at the AEGON event in Wrexham, going down 7-6 6-0 to Constance Sibille (France).
