Murray top seed at Queen's

Andy Murray will make history this week as the first British player to be top seed for the AEGON Championships, which starts on Monday.

And there's another record he's intent on breaking this week - to be the first Brit to win the prestigious event at the Queen's Club.

Despite the withdrawal of defending champion Rafael Nadal, the draw still boasts a highly competitive line-up with former world number ones Andy Roddick, Lleyton Hewitt and Marat Safin in attendance.

And Murray is convinced an extended stay at the Queen's Club would be the perfect way to warm-up for Wimbledon.

"Grass is a good surface for me and obviously it would mean a lot to me to win a tournament at home," said the world number three.

"All the guys that play well at Queen's tend to go on to do well at Wimbledon so it's a good marker to see where your game is at.

"I think this year I've got a good chance of doing really well."

Meanwhile, Scotland's Colin Fleming and partner Ken Skupski have received a wild card for the doubles event and will be looking to build on the form which took them to the final of the AEGON Trophy in Nottingham last week.
