Andy Murray seeded third behind Nadal and Federer for Wimbledon
Andy Murray has been named the number three seed for the Wimbledon Championships when they start on Monday.
The 22-year-old British number one is also ranked three in the world and is likely to have to beat five-time champion Roger Federer in the semi-finals in order to face old foe Rafael Nadal in a potential final.
Nadal ended Murray's Wimbledon journey at the quarter-final stage last year when the eventual champion ran out the winner in a straight sets victory.
Murray was ranked 12th at last seasons event but a meteoric rise through the ranks, helped by a US Open final appearance has seen him jump up the listings.
Murray became the first British winner at the Queen's club for 70 years when he took home the trophy last week and is under pressure to become the first home-grown British winner since Fred Perry in 1936.
