Andy Murray to face the USA's Robert Kendrick in Wimbledon first round
Andy Murray will face the USA's Robert Kendrick in the first round at Wimbledon, with a potential semi-clash with Rafael Nadal on the horizon.
The Scot, seeded third, has an impeccable 3-0 record against the 29-year-old American, a serve-and-volleyer, who has one Wimbledon victory under his belt in three appearances.
But Murray will be more pleased with the news he cannot meet five-time champion Roger Federer until the final.
While Murray has an impressive 6-2 record over the Swiss ace, Federer, who lifted the crown at the All England Club between 2003-2007 has been made heavy favourite as Nadal's participation remains in doubt.
The Spanish world number one is set to make a decision today on whether his troublesome knees will rule him out of the tournament.
Should he declare himself fit, Nadal will face France's Arnaud Clement in the first round, while Federer has been drawn against Chinese Taipei's Yen Hsun Lu - who defeated Murray at the Beijing Olympics.
