Murray opens his account in the final Masters tournament before Beijing
Following a promising run which led him to the semi-final stage of the Rodgers Cup in Toronto, Andy Murray again takes to his favourite surface in the Cincinnati Masters later today.
The British number one begins his campaign against world number 48, Sam Querrey, in the second round. Querrey overcame Frenchman, Paul-Henri Mathieu in Monday's first round with a 6-4 3-6 6-3 victory.
Murray will hope to continue his blistering form which led him to what he believes to be the best performance of his career against Rafael Nadal in Toronto.
Should he progress deep into the tournament in Cincinnati, Murray could face world number one, Roger Federer, in the semi final.
However, the top Scot will be focussing primarily on the matter in hand. The two players have only met on one previous occasion in 2006, a match in which Murray came out on top winning in straight sets.
