Morven McCulloch progresses to third round at European Olympic Festival
St Andrews tennis ace Morven McCulloch's European Youth Olympic Festival campaign gathered pace as she cruised into the third round in Finland.
The 15-year-old made light work of home favourite and sixteenth seed Julianna Heino at the Ruotula Tennis Centre in Tampere, recording a 7-6, 6-3 victory.
But McCulloch, who will now play Spain's Silvia Garcia-Jimenez on Wednesday afternoon, is refusing to starting dreaming of a place on the podium just yet.
McCulloch - who trains at the Tennis Scotland Academy - said: "I'm just going to take it one match at a time from now on and not worry about looking too far ahead.
"I haven't watched the Spanish girl play but I expect she is very good on clay so it will be a tough match for me.
"But I'll just go out, do my best and see what happens. There is still a lot of tennis to be played before anything gets decided."
