Colin Fleming begins his bid to reach back-to-back finals in the Aegon Pro-Series when he faces Dan Evans in the first round of the latest event in Les Ormes, Jersey.

The Scot and his English opponent have both been given wildcard entries and the winner will face German number two seed Simon Stadler in the second round.

Fleming is already through in the doubles with Liverpool's Ken Skupski - beating Carlos Poch-Gardin (Spain) and France's Stephane Robert 6-3 1-6 10-6.

Dunblane teenager Katie Gater lost 6-1 6-3 to Romanian Alexandra Damaschin in the first round of qualifying for the women's singles.
