Colin Fleming drops out of AEGON International at the quarter-final stage
Colin Fleming lost in the quarter-finals of the AEGON International in Sheffield, going down 7-6 (7-4) 6-3 to American Scott Oudsema, who is one place below him in the world rankings.
The Linlithgow player, unseeded, had earlier beaten top seed Richard Bloomfield for the second time in a week.
After knocking him out at Scotstoun, he followed up with a 6-4 6-3 win over the Englishman in the second round in Sheffield.
But he could not repeat his feat of the pervious week when he reached the final and Oudsema proved just too strong.
