Fleming into doubles final of AEGON trophy in Nottingham

Scotland's Colin Fleming has vowed to keep his feet firmly on the ground despite humbling British No.1 Jamie Murray to reach the doubles final of the AEGON Trophy in Nottingham.

The 25-year-old and Liverpudlian partner Ken Skupski have been in impressive form this week and it was no surprise when they sent Murray and Luxembourg's Gilles Muller crashing in straight sets 7-6, 6-3.

Fleming and Skupski will now face America's third seeds Eric Butorac,  a former partner of Murray, and Scott Lipsky, who saw off British duo Jamie Delgado and Jonathan Marray on Sunday

But the Scot, who is ranked tenth in the British singles rankings, admitted their doubles heroics will count for nothing when they bid for silverware in the East Midlands.

"Myself and Ken have been on a great run recently and really enjoying our doubles," said Fleming. "Its always nice to test ourselves against the top players and obviously we're delighted to have come through but it's very much a case of taking each game at a time.

It's always great coming back for the grass court season, the surface suits my game and it's a nice time of year to have British support."

But there will be no final appearance for British number four Elena Baltacha, who was sent packing in the last four by Italy's number three seed Maria-Elena Camerin 6-1, 6-4.
