Fleming out of the running after loss in qualifying
Colin Fleming's hopes of making a mark at this week's Caversham International Challenger in Jersey were scuppered in the first round of qualifying.
The Scottish number three, who won last week's LTA Futures event in Sunderland, was looking to continue his progress.
But he had the misfortune to be drawn against Czech Davis Cup player Tomas Zib and went down 6-1 6-2.
Fleming is still alive in the doubles with Liverpool's Ken Skupski - the pair beating German pair Tobias Kamke and Julian Reister 6-4 6-1 in the first round.
