Fleming shares a scalp with Skupski by ousting second seeds at Queen's
Broxburn's Colin Fleming produced the shock of the day at the AEGON Championships as he teamed up with fellow Brit Ken Skupski to defeat American second seeds Bob and Mike Bryan.
The Bryans have seven Grand Slam titles to their name and lifted the Wimbledon crown in 2006 but the Brits, who reached the final of the AEGON Trophy in Nottingham last week, prevailed 6-4, 6-4.
"To be such a top class team is fantastic for us," said Fleming. "They played everywhere in the world.
"We're not used to playing at this level but we really lifted our games.
"It's the best moment of my career for sure. We've done such a good job today and we're still here so we'll see how far we can go.
"We're really excited about the rest of this tournament and Wimbledon now."
And Jamie Murray also got his AEGON Championships campaign off to a winning start as he teamed up with Israel's Jonathan Erlich for the first time to overcome Leos Friedl and David Skoch 7-6, 3-6, 10-3 in a champions' tie-break.
