Scotland's Elena Baltacha is just one match away from qualifying for the French Open main draw, but will have to be at her best to reach Roland Garros.

The 25-year-old, who has never played at the Grand Slam in Paris, continued her fine form on the clay with a comfortable 6-1, 7-5 win over France's Stephanie Vongsouthi.

But the British No. 4 faces her toughest test of the week in the final round of qualifying as she will face first seed Yaraslava Shvedova from Russia.

Fellow Brits Anne Keothavong ane Melanie South have already booked their place in the main draw while Katie O'Brien is also through to the last round of qualifying.
