Baltacha spreads horizons
Baltacha keen to make an impact on American hard-court circuit
Elena Baltacha will seek to make her mark on the US hard-court circuit in the weeks ahead.
The Scottish number one will play in five top-level tournaments startnig with next week's Bank of the West Classic in Stanford, California.
Venus and Serena Williams are both taking part in the event along with Maria Sharapova.
Baltacha is likely to be involved in the qualifying rounds as she seeks to break into the top 100 in the world.
