She faces Sandra Martinovic from Bosnia-Herzegovina in her first round match hoping to make an impact on the event.
Meanwhile, Scottish men's number three Colin Fleming continues to make progress on the UK Futures tour.
The Linlithgown player put out Montenegro's Daniel Danilovic, the number eight seed, 7-5 6-4 in the first round of the LTA event in Sunderland.
He is hoping for his third successive doubles title wtih Liverpool's Ken Skupski.
