Scottish number one Elena Baltacha bids for a place in the main draw of the French Open this week.

Baltacha has been drawn to face Greek number one Anna Gerasimou in her opening match in the qualifying rounds.

Ranked almost 100 places above her opponent, Baltacha is favourite to progress.

The Scot has been preparing with tournaments in Korea and Japan but has had a mixed bag of results.
