

Elena Baltacha set to rank in world's top 100 for the first time
Scottish number one Elena Baltacha looks set to finally break into the world's top 100.
After weeks of steadily climbing the rankings, Baltacha reached the semi-finals of the ITF Challenger in Shrewsbury with an upset 6-7 6-2 6-4 win over number two seed Kristina Barrois.
Baltacha lost the first set on a 7-4 tie-break but came back strongly for a significant win.
Seeded five, she beat a player currently ranked 68th in the world and it should be enough to give her a top 100 place when the latest rankings are announced next week.
Meanwhile Glasgow's Jamie Baker is into the last four of the ITF Futures event in Darwin, Australia.
The number eight seed is on course to reach his third successive Futures final.
He beat number two seed Jose Statham 6-2 6-2 in teh quarter-finals and now meets Australian Robert Smeets, a player he defeated last week, for a place in the final.
Baker beat another Australian Matheson Klein 6-3 6-0 in the second round after opening with a 6-3 6-2 win over James O'Brien, also Australia.
