Elena Baltacha's inconsistent form continued when she was dumped out of the $50,000 ITF event in Kurume, Japan, in the second round.

The Scottish number one and top seed went out in three sets to unseeded Xinyun Han from China 1-6 6-3 7-6 - Han winning the final set tie-break 7-4.

It follows her semi-final defeat in Fukuoka last week where she was also top seed.

It was been a roller-coaster year so far for Baltacha as she bids to climb the world rankings.
