Baltacha wary of Bondarenko threat as Wimbledon opener looms
Elena Baltacha insists she will have to play the best tennis of her career to progress to the second round at Wimbledon.
The 25-year-old faces world number 33 Alona Bondarenko from Ukraine at the All England Club on Tuesday.
Baltacha reached the second round last year but the Perth ace admits replicating that in 2009 will be a big ask.
"Alona's a very tough player and she has reached the third round here before so she can definitely play on the grass," said Baltacha.
"For me to stand a chance of winning I know I will have to play my best tennis and I believe I'm capable of doing that because I've had a good run up to the Championships.
"Wimbledon is the perfect place to find the inspiration you need to win a match like that."
