Baker and Fleming triumph

Jamie Baker won his first tournament for two years when he made it third time lucky at the ITF Futures event in Nonthaburi, Thailand.

Baker, a qualifier, beat top seed Dan King-Turner from New Zealand 6-4 6-4 in a hard-fought final.

The Glasgow player had beaten Canadian Milos Raonic to reach the final, coming back from losing the first set to triumph 5-7 7-6 6-1.

Raonic had beaten him at the semi-final stage of the previous two Futures events in the Thai city.

Meanwhile Linlithgow's Colin Fleming won the AEGON Pro-Series event at the Cumberland club in London to cap a great weekend for Scottish tennis.

With Andy Murray hitting form in New York and Jamie Baker winning in Thailand, Fleming faced Japan's Toshihide Matsui in the final.

After losing the first set, the number two seed came back to win 4-6 6-3 6-1.

Fleming had beaten Norfolk's Richard Bloomfield, the number four seed, in the semi-finals.
