Murray into last four at Queen's for first time in career
Andy Murray was ruthlessly efficient as he sealed his place in the AEGON Championships semi final with a comfortable victory over the Mardy Fish.
Murray secured three breaks of serve in all and never looked like dropping his own to dispose of the eighth seed as the world number three retains his perfect 2009 record at Queen's.
The Scot stepped up a gear each time both sets reached a conclusion and had too much in his locker for the one dimensional big-serving American.
Up next for the British number one will be former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero, who won the French Open in 2003, and Murray is convinced he will have to step up yet another gear to reach his first ever final at Queen's.
"Mardy served very well in the first set and it was just a case of hanging in there," said Murray - top seed at the AEGON Championships.
"He didn't give me many opportunities but the ones he did I took well and that's pleasing. I started to feel a lot more comfortable after that.
"Mardy is a very good grass court player and he showed that today but one thing that really pleased me was my serve - if I can keep that up to that standard over the next month I'll be happy."
