Andy Murray backs himself to go far at the French Open
Andy Murray is adamant he has plenty left in the tank, having reached the fourth round and the second week of the French Open for the first time.
The 22-year-old British number one progressed to the last 16 on Friday, as opponent Janko Tipsarevic retired hurt with Murray leading by two sets to love.
The world number three will now face 20-year-old Marin Cilic of Croatia in round four as he bids to reach the quarter finals of a Grand Slam for just the third time.
Cilic, seeded 13th, has never beaten Murray, having lost their previous two encounters, the Scot is well aware of the threat posed by the hard-hitting Croatian.
"He has a big game and is very dangerous," said Murray. "He's a very good player but I beat him when we've played on the tour in the past.
"I'm playing well and the moment and I'd love to go further into the tournament.
"So far it has not been too physically demanding for me. I'm finding it a lot easier on clay to get into more rallies and I think that suits my game.
"I really want to go further. I'm playing well enough to. I just have to keep the consistency and I can win more matches."
