Stirling University's Stewart Crawford took a silver medal at the British Universities Championship in Nottingham.

Crawford, a full Scotland international, battled his way through to the final before losing 3-0 to Po Hoang Chen (London Metropolitan).

Scotland international team-mate Craig Howieson (Edinburgh University) reached the last eight but lost 3-1 to Brighton's Alex Ionnou.

In the women's event, Roxanna Milne (Robert Gordons) went out at the quarter-final stage.
