Silver double for Craig

Edinburgh's Craig Howieson, who is selected to play for Scotland for the European Youth International in Italy next week, was a double silver medallist at the British Schools' Championships in Cardiff.

Craig won a silver in the individual event and Joined Chris Main in also finishing second for Scotland in the team event.

Stephanie McCallum won a bronze in the Under-18 girls and Sean Doherty was another bronze winner in the Under-16 boys.

Stephanie's highlight was beating Rebecca George of England in the quarter-finals. The "comeback kid" was 2-0 down in sets and match points down in the fourth set but showed grit and determination to claw back the game and level the match at 2-2.

With a strong Scottish support behind her Stephanie came from 5-9 in the fifth end to snatch the bronze 14-12.

In the Girls' A team event, Stephanie and Roxanna Milne finished fourth for Scotland, just losing out on a countback to England for the bronze medal.
