Shock for Cameron

Elgin's Niall Cameron suffered a shock early exit in the Bristol Grand Prix.

The Scottish number two, top seed for the event after winning the recent Newcastle Grand Prix, crashed out in the group stages.

He lost 3-0 to Yorkshire's Julien Gittens, whose defensive play held the Scot at bay.

Cameron then missed out on qualifying on the countback as Scots-born Euan Liddle, representing Essex, took the runners-up place behind Gittens.
