Scots grab dramtic third in European Championships thanks to Crawford
Scotland gained a notable 3-2 win over Switzerland to clinch third place in their opening group at the European Championships in St Petersburg, Russia.
It was Falkirk's Stewart Crawford who won the clinching tie, beating Christian Hotz 11-3 11-7 12-10.
Number one Gavin Rumgay also beat Hotz - 11-8 13-11 6-11 11-2 - and Niall Cameron defeated Denis Joset 11-9 12-10 11-6.
Scotland had earlier lost 3-0 to a strong Italian side with Rumgay the only player to take a game and then lost 3-0 to Bulgaria.
