Rumgay ousted

Scottish number one Gavin Rumgay - seeded number two - lost in the semi-finals of the London Grand Prix at Redbridge.

The Perth player, who has steadily climbed the world rankings in 2009, lost in three tight games to England's Chris Doran.

Doran put paid to a number of players seeded above him and went on to win the title.

It was Rumgay's final tournament of the year but he faces a busy 2010 as he seeks to enhance his growing reputation.
