Scottish number one Gavin Rumgay reached the last 64 of the Korean Open as he continues his assault on the world rankings.
The Perth player beat Singapore's Teng Yi Guo 11-9 11-9 11-3 11-5 in the qualifying rounds to secure a place in the main draw.
But Rumgay then lost to Russian Alexei Smirnov - the world number 28 - 4-11 6-11 11-8 12-14 8-11.
The Scot moves on to play in the Singapore Open next week.
