Olympic stars head to Rome for training camp
Scotland's ten Olympians - Kris Gilchrist, Gregor Tait, David Carry, Robbie Renwick, Euan Dale, Todd Cooper, Andrew Hunter, Caitlin McClatchey, Hannah Miley and Kirsty Balfour - continue the build-up to Beijing at the Seven Hills Meet in Rome this week.
The full GB squad will then move on to compete in the Mare Nostrum Meet in Canet as the swimmers begin the vital final few weeks of preparation.
"After the two competitions, we will then stay in Canet for a training camp," said Fred Vergnoux, the City of Edinburgh coach who is in charge of the British Olympic men's team.
"We will just return to the UK in time for the ASA National Championships at Liverpool in early July.
"So far, everything is going according to plan. But this European trip is another important part of the process of making sure that everyone is ready to perform at their best at the Olympics."
