Sixteen Scots head for Tri Nations

Warrender’s Lewis Smith, who competed for GB at last month’s European Championships, is included in a Scottish squad of 16 for the Celtic Tri Nations Championship at the Welsh National Pool in Swansea from February 20-22.

The line-up includes two young Scots – Robyn Matthews and Megan Gilchrist -  both of whom are now training at the British Intensive Training Centre in Swansea.

Scotland, winners of the inaugural 2007 contest, will be competing against holders Wales and Ireland, and it will be a first team event for the new Scottish National Coach, Doug Campbell.

"This is a very talented group and will be a great springboard for all the swimmers preparing for the British Championships and World Championship trials in March," said Campbell.
