

Dan Wallace and Fiona Booth star at ASA Championships
Dan Wallace (Duns) swam an excellent race to set a Scottish Junior record of 2:07.85 and take the bronze medal in the Boys 15/16 years 200m individual medley at the ASA Nationals in Sheffield.
Another highlight was a battle royal between Edinburgh University team mates Fiona Booth and Kathryn Johnston in the women's open 50m breaststroke. A good start gave Booth the advantage as she powered through to take the gold in an impressive time of 31.97, with Johnston finishing in the bronze medal position in 32.70.
Team-mate Darren Ward featured in the men's open 50m Backstroke event touching the wall in 4th but he was awarded the bronze as the third British swimmer home (26.38).
In the boys’ 17/18 years 200m medley, Ross Muir (FIRST/Stirling Performance), won his first medal of the championships with a bronze medal in 2:06.86.
Carnegie youngster Craig Rodgie won a silver medal in the MD 100m butterfly (1:03.03/881), narrowly missing out on the gold medal by 10 points to Benjamin Proctor of Newquay.
