Scottish Olympic stars join camp in Sardinia
Scotland's seven Olympic men - Gregor Tait, Kris Gilchrist, David Carry, Todd Cooper, Euan Dale, Robbie Renwick and Andrew Hunter - start the big build-up to the Olympic Games at a British training camp in Sardinia this week.
Fred Vergnoux, the City of Edinburgh Head coach, is in charge of the British men's squad for Beijing, and he is looking forward to getting his charges together for the first time as a team.
"Everyone was on a high after the trials in Sheffield this month and then there were a lot of great swims at the world championships in Manchester," said Vergnoux. "The swimmers have had a short break, but now it is just over three months to the Olympics.
"After Sardinia, we will be going to France for some competition and altitude training and then there are the British national Championships in Liverpool in July."
The GB women's team including Scots Hannah Miley, Kirsty Balfour, Caitlin McClatchey, are also off abroad. They are at a training camp in Spain this week.
