Magnificent Miley stars as Smith and Hunter book their tickets to Rome
Hannah Miley claimed her third and fourth golds of the British Gas Scottish National Championships on Sunday night as she added the 200m breaststroke and 1500m freestyle titles to her list of honours.
The 19-year-old Garioch swimmer had already secured 200m and 400m medley gold but returned to the pool on Sunday to compete in her ninth and tenth event of the competition.
Miley has already qualified for next month's World Championships in Rome in the two medleys, in which she currently tops the world rankings, as well as the 200m breaststroke, which she won again yesterday, courtesy of her exploits at the British Championships in March.
But that didn't stop Miley producing a lung-busting swim over 1500m to take her fourth gold of the competition, and the Scot revealed she has no intentions of slowing down before arriving in the Italian capital.
"It's been a really successful week for me. Doing so many races was probably a bit silly but this week was all about training for me," said Miley.
"I did what I had to do to get to Rome in the British Championships in Sheffield back in March so there was no pressure here this week."
Elsewhere, Stirling Swim member Andy Hunter booked his ticket to Rome with victory in the 200m freestyle while his training partner Lewis Smith also ensured he would be in the Eternal City with victory in the 400m IM.
