Miley medals in Barcelona

Scottish swimmer Hannah Miley warmed up for the World Championships in Rome with a two-medal haul in Barcelona.

The 19-year-old Beijing Olympian scooped gold in the 400m individual medley at the Mare Nostrum Meet.

Miley clocked 4.34.41 minutes in the medley, holding off the challenge of Spain's Belmonte Garcia Mireira who claimed silver and GB team mate Keri-Anne Payne who finished third.

And the Inverurie-based teenager then claimed bronze in the 200m breaststroke with a time of 2.30.62 minutes.

Miley, who finished sixth in the 400m IM final in Beijing, qualified for next month's championships by clocking two new European records at the national championships in Sheffield in March.
